Overview
Project Gym ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.
We will never sell your personal data to third parties.
Data We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account we collect your email address and optional display name. You may also sign in with Apple, in which case we receive only the information Apple shares with us.
Workout Data
We store the workout sessions, exercises, routines, and body weight logs you create inside the app. This data is synced to your personal account in Firebase and is not shared with other users.
Progress Photos
If you upload progress photos, they are stored in Firebase Storage and linked only to your account. Photos are never shared publicly or analysed by third parties.
Device & Usage Data
We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (e.g. which screens are visited most often). This data cannot be used to identify individual users.
How We Use Your Data
- To provide and improve the app's features
- To sync your data across your devices
- To send optional push notifications you explicitly enable (e.g. rest-day reminders)
- To respond to support requests
We do not use your workout or health data to serve you advertisements.
Third-Party Services
Project Gym uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- Firebase (Google) — Authentication, database, storage, and analytics
- Apple Sign In — Optional authentication method
- Apple Push Notification service (APNs) — Delivers in-app notifications
Data Retention & Deletion
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Profile → Delete Account & Data inside the app.
Deletion removes your workout sessions, exercises, routines, body weight logs, progress photos, and your Firebase Authentication record. This action is irreversible.
Children's Privacy
Project Gym is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
